Okay, so this post is overdue by about a month or two, but I am still telling people and I enjoy their reactions every time.

About a year ago, maybe a little more, I was about a size 14, on my way to a 16, in pants. Fast forward to Christmas break a couple months ago. We, my husband, son, and I, went over to my sister-in-law’s for a family breakfast. It was nice. We were all comfy in our pajamas and such. Well, the girls decide it would be fun to have a day out. I was all in, of course, but I wasn’t appropriately dressed. My sister-in-law offers to lend me some clothes. I’m hesitant because she’s lost a lot of weight and seems to be a pretty small size now, but I figure, ‘Eh, why not just try it on and if it doesn’t fit then I’ll go like this.’ She hands me some jeans and my other sister-in-law a shirt. I go to the bathroom and start reading the label on the jeans. “American Eagle” and there it is, that little number “4″. I’m thinking the smallest pair of jeans I own are lei size 7. For most people, I don’t think a moment like this would have been such a big deal. Maybe they’d just try on the pants already and get it over with. I took my time in there and slowly pulled them up, more out of fear that they wouldn’t go all the way up or not button. I cannot express my excitement when they went up and buttoned like they were made for me.

From almost a size 16 to a nice little 4. I thought no wonder my 7s kept falling. It never dawned on me to try on a smaller size of jeans. I was so excited I went out that weekend and bought myself 3 new jeans. Size 4.

Hard work got me to where I am now and I am going to continue, but without my Coach Peter Hanz, I wouldn’t have even started to make a change. So for all this, I wanted to tell you thank you, Coach. Thank you so much. You have no idea how grateful I am. I wouldn’t have been able to do this if it hadn’t been for you and the CTL Team.
