Back On Track

It’s the evening and I am wiped out!!  Having Spring Break come along was a wonderful way to relax, but it completely threw off my sleeping pattern, eating habits, and workout regime.  How did I manage to get back on track in just one day?

This information is in one of the biggest chapters in the future book “But When You Pray” I will be co-authoring with some friends: keeping the future bright and happy, with the past pushing you FORWARD instead of wanting to go BACK.  Ever asked yourself in what time do you see yourself happier than you are right now?  If you see yourself happier in the future, you’re on the right track.  If you catch yourself constantly looking into the past, almost wishing you could relive the moment instead of bearing with your present self- it’s time to change.

The biggest problem is actually switching from wanting the past to yearning for the future.  If you have a chance, observe the biggest leaders with the happiest lifestyles- what do they have in common?  They live in the future by pushing forward today.  From billionaires to the mother of five and attending community college, if they are happy, they are constantly picturing their big plans, happy children, their business organizations growing, even politicians having constant visions of winning the election years ahead of time!  And they do it while working forward today.  They make every day count for tomorrow.  You should do the same.

It’s a simple concept, and it may be unfamiliar territory for you.  So I’m going to let you into my personal life on how I went from a one week no-holds vacation to a healthy and productive lifestyle in just 24 hours:

  • I always remind my girlfriend that whenever something makes you extremely happy, find a memento such as a receipt, ticket, bracelet, maybe even a small pebble to remember the happy moment. Later on when if you feel the world is crumbling to pieces, hold onto that memento and tell yourself, “If I had a happy day before, God wants me to have my best day in the future.”  It will spark your energy and have you see opportunities to grow and learn instead of difficulties.
  • Let your imagination loose at least once a day. As my college professor informed the class; the biggest regret of the elderly at an adult-care facility is always living by the “adult” status.  They wish they laughed with their children more, tried to start a business on their crazy million dollar idea, and most of all- wished they didn’t work so much and spent more time with their love.  I may be 22 years young, but I learned this lesson from my younger brother.  He almost passed away from a fire accident last year.  And he’s younger than me.  We never know when our time is ending, and if you’re always working- you have never truly lived.
  • Travel without an itinerary, or even without money! Yup, I said the impossible, right?  Being able to travel without $$$???  Trust me when I say, if you are hungry hundreds or thousands of miles away from home, you’ll find a way to put your talents to profitable use.  If you’re in debt, put your pride aside and do some weed pulling- heck, I did it, wrote about it, and share the advantages of hard labor in my Financial Maturity Chapter!  The easiest way to have extra money is doing what most people don’t want to do- Sweat!  And that also goes with my health/fitness Mentorship.  Each person in the Mentorship has worked/is working towards exercising as part of our lifestyle, and it is creating a stable source of income.  Now it’s your turn to take advantage of it!

Well, I’m near a very important webinar with 6- and 7- figure leaders in my company, so I have to cut this blog short.  I hope you can fix your day, and ultimately your future, in just 24 hours with this information.  Let me know what you think in the comment section or on my facebook wall.  Have a wonderful Monday!
