“If you can’t fly, then run,”
As the last two weeks of January kick in, I find myself doing my very best to the current Members in my Company, from giving weekly bonuses to private professional development webinars. I may not have all the time in the world due to public events, but I still put every minute to use, and my team comes first.
“If you can’t run, then walk,”
This might sound crazy, but this part of Martin Luther King’s speech hits home. It even brings me to tears. My younger brother could not run when he woke up from his fire accident almost a year ago. He could barely even move inches at a time, and I could not help. Having to break the news of him still having a chance to lose his life or both his legs, and that he had to walk in order to save it all really brings this speech to life. And tears to my entire family’s eyes.
“If you can’t walk, then crawl,”
When I read this part, I think of bear crawls. You know, those drills you see soldiers, marines, navy recruits, etc. doing across mud fields. That type of training makes an adult out of anyone. It is also a lot harder than running, and much harder than walking. Choosing to crawl is always an easy reminder that we have so many blessings in our life. Don’t forget that.
“but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.”
Every one of you reading this. You are moving forward. Right now, believe it or not. Some of you might connect with my blogs, maybe not. But the truth is, by reading, you are moving your mind. You might apply to ChallengeToLive, Inc. and are currently in debt, owe a mortgage, are having paying college textbooks or a cell phone bill. If you are anything like me, you put more money into what you know you need than want. I was eating peanuts last year, but I was moving forward. Stronger in my body and mind every single day until I made the choice to establish ChallengeToLive, Inc. The sacrifices you are making are for a reason, make sure that reason moves you forward. If you need help in any way, remember- your health and success is always on my mind.
Happy Martin Luther King Day,
Coach Peter Hanz
